As September gets underway, and groups are putting the finishing touches on their community radio applications that are due October 15-29, Prometheus has been ushering them to this stage with great resources, help desk access and webinars. It's been an electric and exciting time for us! October's application window is the culmination of one phase of Prometheus' work. Our next phase, helping groups through thorny licensing battles and ultimately to station building and barnraisings, is about to get underway. It is an incredibly important time to show your support of Prometheus. Your support allows us to strengthen our engineering and technical support team now, ensuring that we're well-equipped to assist groups in acquiring construction permits. Funding the Next Wave of Community Radio
In preparation for next month's application window, we provided resources to over 10,000 people in over 1,000 groups to assist them in pursuing their LPFM dreams. We advocated on behalf of communities that demand a voice in their local media. And WE WON! Now here's YOUR chance to show how much this work has meant to YOU.
From September 9 - October 8, Prometheus is conducting an online crowd funding campaign to support our technical and engineering support team who will continue to help community groups after the application window. Our goal is to raise $20,000 in 30 days through this campaign. You can participate by donating, sharing this campaign with your friends, and re-posting it through your social networks like Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr.

Thurs Sept 19 6:00-9:00pm - Gershman Y Building 401 S. Broad St.
Screening and discussion of "Where the DJs Roam," a documentary chronicling the challenges and triumphs of community radio station KGLT in Bozeman, MT. Afterwards, we'll lead a discussion on different models of community radio.
Thurs October 31 7:00-11:00pm - Gershman Y Building 401 S. Broad St.
We've been working hard to get to the LPFM application window! Join us on Halloween for a party to celebrate our wins and our next wave of station building. Come dressed in your spookiest threads for the costume contest, get down on the dancefloor and show your support for Prometheus! Bring the kids! There will be a photobooth! Raffles! And more!
